There was a time I was just grateful to be in the room.
Grateful for the badge. Grateful for the seat at the table. Grateful for the chance to speak—if they asked me to.
But somewhere along the way, I realized something powerful: the room needed me more than I needed its permission.
Too many of us are told, directly or indirectly, to be thankful we're "included."
As if inclusion is a gift, not a correction of a system that once excluded us.
You are the voice that shifts the room.
I stopped waiting to be invited to speak. I started building conversations around what needed to be said.
We don’t need more quiet leaders.
We need women who understand they don’t have to “act like the men” to lead with power.
